President
I am Abigail Jensen, but I prefer Abby. I am a junior at DDHS and the current 2010-2011 FFA president. This will be my third year in FFA and my second year as an officer. I am superbly ecstatic to be President this year and I hope to help make our FFA better in any way that I can. Some activities that I have participated in are food drives, FFA Week, Food for America, Teacher’s Tea, chapter rodeos, National Convention, Section 10 Leadership workshops, plant sale, alumni work auctions, and multiple other activities that have been offered. My SAE revolves around my horses. I show, train, and breed Morgan horses with my father on our family farm. I started showing when I was young and fell in love with the happiness, friendship, and competition that showing brought. I am now getting involved with the swine project as well. I plan on breeding and raising cross breeds and durocs to start off. After high school I plan on attending UW- Madison, majoring in Animal science and then attending Madison’s Vet School.
Vice President
- Community Development
- Hi, my name is Breanna Sorg. I am a sophomore this year. I am one of the FFA Vice Presidents this year, and am excited to help make this chapter more fun and interesting for everyone. I have been a member of FFA for one year now, and have had a lot of fun doing stuff with other members. I went to the Made for Excellence conference, a rodeo, and a hockey game/Blake Shelton concert. My grandparents live on a farm so I have been involved with their farm for most of my life. This year I am going to show pigs and goats at the Walworth County Fair for the first time in my life. I am going to be on the swim team this year, but that is the only extracurricular activity I will participate in. My goal this year is to have a lot of fun activities for the FFA to do this year, and make it more fun for its members.
- Chapter Development
- My name is Stephanie Anderson but everyone just calls me Steph. This year I am a Junior bringing in my third year of FFA under my belt. Even though this is my first year as an officer I am really excited to be active and really get everyone participating! I have participated in FIRE Conference, the World Dairy Expo field trip, Rodeo field trips, Alumni Work Auction, Plant Sale, Poinsetta Sale, National Convention, and many other activities. Outside of school I am an extremely active member in 4-H and even lead the Rabbit project for this county. I have rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and poultry that I show at the fair and am very active with. This year I even made it into the State FFA Choir and was the only one from around this area that made it in. I am very excited to represent my chapter there. After high-school I plan on attending college and majoring in Large Animal Veterinary Science with an emphasis on Equine.
